Jag har suttit och sett på sommerbilen de senaste dagarna på NRK när de har kört genom Nordnorge. Det är vackert så att hjärtat vill hoppa ut ur bröstet. Det vilar något melankoliskt över Nordnorge som jag bara älskar. Sånger och texter skrivna här uppe är präglade av det mörker som råder om vintern och hur det efterlängtade ljuset är så fint att det gör ont. Jag känner mig mer levande här uppe. Tem dias em que a gente acorda triste, vazia, sem sentido... os motivos são diversos, você pode estar sofrendo porque alguém mentiu pra você, ou não te tratou tão bem quanto você merecia, você pode estar decepcionada, doente, pode estar de luto ou apenas triste por nada, só experimentando um dia ruim. Infelizmente enxergar as coisas como elas são tem um preço e mesmo que doa eu sou a que prefere enxergar. Eu acredito que a gente tem que respeitar nossos tempos, tempo de ficar triste, tempo de chorar, acho que precisamos dessas etapas para assimilar nossas dores e só então depois sacudir a poeira e levantar. Ao mesmo tempo eu sinto gratidão por todos os momentos escuros que eu suportei sem sucumbir. Pois a luz e a alegria que me contemplam hoje vieram desses dias de trevas. Amar a vida não significa que algumas vezes a gente não tenha vontade de jogar a toalha, se enfiar na cama e não levantar tão cedo. Tips for Sleep Issues. Adequate sleep is vital for #mental , #emotional and #physical functioning. There are multiple factors that contribute to broken sleep/insomnia and identifying the underlying cause helps combat #sleep issues in the long run. If your sleep is routinely disturbed, try some or all of the following: Write out your ‘To Do’ List: At least 1 hour prior to bed, write out a ‘to do’ list. This helps relieve #anxiety about trying to recall things to be done that swirl around in your head. Put the list away with the resolution that nothing needs to be done until the morning. Give your worries some perspective - realistically, what can be done at 3am in the morning? Tell yourself you’ll deal with the issue at 8am. Mental Distractions: Put into place #mental #mind games or detailed memories or future plans that are pleasant, #calming and/or positive. Place effort in focusing away from the cycling #thoughts that cause #distress , #agitation , and anxiety which increase your heart rate and breathing. You may as well go for a run! Instead try to divert your mind to thinking of a topic using the alphabet (eg. a-z of naming cities, household items, girl/boy names ), counting backwards from 300, recalling a significant pleasant memory in detail (include who was present, what was said, what you wore, the weather... ). Sleep Podcasts/Apps: There are many sleep podcasts (stories ) and #relaxing meditation or music apps that assist in inducing sleep. Find ones that fit you. Look for what you like - readers tone of voice, content, sound consistency. Routine: Find a sleep routine - set a time for bed and put into place things that slow down your body and mind. This may include warm showers, reading a book, listening to talk back radio, doing relaxing activities like crosswords or craft, drinking warm milk. Try to get up around the same time every day. Avoid these: Heavy evening meals, caffeine (e.g. coffee, coke, chocolate ), exercise to close to bedtime, blue light emissions (from computer, phones, ipad ), naps in the day, sleeping in too long on days off, alcohol and excessive liquid intake prior to bed.
