❤️❤️❤️ #Repost @nationalparkservice with @get_repost ・・・ This picture is no fluke. It’s two flukes! A whale uses their flukes to propel forward in the water. The portion of the whale’s body that tapers to the flukes is called the caudal peduncle. (Try to fit that into a random conversation. ) Beyond the peduncle, the flukes, or tail fins, are composed of flesh and not anchored by skeletal anatomy. Again, feel free to use as an ice breaker on your next online call. Image: Whale, whale, whale...what do we have here? It’s two humpback whale flukes sticking out of Alaskan waters. Fell out of a notebook I found in my office. #bonesbrigade
A cloud-topped #mthood from my ‘hood.
Look what arrived today. More Dodger art! Thanks, @katecanovakross !!!
I’m not an actual mother. I am a dog mama though. My friend Lisa said to me today, after seeing Dodger be so friendly, funny and relaxed: “You saved him, Dana.” That may be true but he saved me too. #happymothersday ❤️
